About University of BelgradeUniversity of Belgrade is a world renowned educational institution with long history of progressive thought and impressive research track record. It is one of the most respected Universities of South-Eastern Europe and it's highest educational body in the city of Belgrade and Serbian. OrganizationOrganizationally, University of Belgrade is separated into approximately 30 schools (a.k.a Fakulteti or Faculties), eight scientific institutes (primarily research oriented) and its university library (Univerzitetska Bibiloteka). HistoryThe institution has rich and productive history that goes back to 1808 when the so called Great School was established in Belgrade. The Great School officially changed name into University of Belgrade on 2/27/05. The university charter at the time it had three faculties: school of engineering, law and philosophy. Finally, the University was situated in an old Captain Misa's building (it's a home to the Rectorate today). Enrollment and AdmissionThe University enrolment appears to be rather steady and it's currently in the 55K-60K range.
